Cardano, the investment management firm behind Now Pensions, has promoted Claire Bowyer to the role of deputy chief executive.
She has been with Cardano for 13 years and overall has 20 years of legal experience.
In her now role, she will cover the commercial, investment and governance aspects at Now Pensions, as well as managing all client-related teams.
Bowyer remains a member of the group management board and a partner. She is also a director of Cardano UK and the group’s general counsel.
Mickey de Lathauwer, group chief executive, said: “We are delighted to announce Claire’s promotion. She has invaluable technical skills from working across the group but also brings with her a wealth of client-facing and people leadership experience.
“Her appointment is a reflection of Now’s growth ambition for the future, reaffirming our commitment to deliver positive change for our members.”
Prior to joining Cardano, Bowyer has worked as a senior lawyer at corporate law firm Travers Smith.
Cardano manages £15bn in defined benefit assets in the UK and the Netherlands. In the UK, Now Pensions invests on behalf of 2 million members.
